2000 Series Subsea Linear Actuator

The 2000 Series Subsea Linear Actuator from 2G Engineering is the smallest model in our range; however, it still integrates the same advanced onboard features found in the larger 3000 and 4000 Series units. Designed for precision and reliability in confined subsea environments, it delivers exceptional performance and control even at depths of up to 10,000 feet.
In addition, its compact footprint makes it easier to install in systems where space is limited. As a result, it offers both flexibility and efficiency for demanding subsea applications.

Main features and performance

  • Output Force: 100 lbs (tension and compression)
  • Nominal Voltage: 24 VDC (operating range 10–32 V)
  • Control Options: Serial or analog interface
  • Outer Diameter: 2 inches
  • Depth Rating: Up to 10,000 ft
  • Integrated compensator system for stroke lengths up to 4″

Each actuator includes integrated motor drivers, a position feedback sensor, and a servo control system. Together, these components ensure smooth and accurate motion even under the harshest subsea conditions.
Moreover, the robust electronic design reduces the need for external control hardware, and consequently, simplifies system integration.
Additionally, this design approach improves reliability and minimizes maintenance requirements throughout the actuator’s service life.

Configuration options

The 2000 Series linear actuators can easily be configured to meet a wide range of project requirements. For instance:

  • Available strokes: 2″, 4″, 6″, or 8″ (models over 4″ require an external compensator)

  • Material options: 6061 aluminum, 316 stainless steel, or Grade 5 titanium

  • Custom motor windings available for torque or speed optimization

  • Multiple rod-end configurations to suit specific mechanical interfaces

Key applications

Because of its compact and durable design, the 2000 Series Subsea Linear Actuator is ideal for applications such as:

  • Wing and rudder control

  • Latch or release systems

  • Mast or sensor deployment

  • Replacement for hydraulic cylinders

  • Laboratory or field testing systems

Testing and quality assurance

Before shipment, our team performs a full factory acceptance test (FAT) on every unit to confirm performance and reliability.
Each actuator includes a detailed test report for complete traceability.
If your project requires specific test criteria, we can adapt our validation process accordingly to meet your standards.
Therefore, you can be confident that each actuator will perform reliably once deployed.
