For several decades, Everaxis has been at the forefront of video signal transmission via rotary systems, even in the most demanding environments. From the PAL standard to the latest 3G-SDI specifications, our solutions have proven their worth at sea, in the air and on the field, equipping on-board systems in UAVs, armoured vehicles and naval platforms.
Today, changing technological needs are radically transforming video transmission requirements. Modern on-board systems, particularly surveillance turrets and electro-optical sensors, increasingly incorporate high-definition cameras, generating multiple streams of video data that need to be transferred with absolute reliability between fixed and rotating elements.
Going beyond the limits of contact slipring
For a long time, traditional slides, or contact slip rings, have made it possible to meet this challenge. However, these systems are now reaching their physical and technological limits: mechanical wear, signal loss, electromagnetic noise, regular maintenance… all constraints that are becoming unacceptable in critical applications, whether military, industrial or security-related.
The contactless video system from Everaxis
To meet these new challenges, Everaxis has developed a contactless video transmission solution offering superior signal integrity, increased robustness and reduced maintenance. In addition the regenerated signal enables usages of long cable lengths for demanding applications.
Main technical specifications & top performances
- Latency < 2.10-6s Jitter < 350.10-12s
- Bandwith in excess of 5Gbit
- Choice of optical output
- Compact design for two channels 3G-SDI combined with large bore
- Half size saving with 30mm bore Vs. standard contact technology
2 independent 3G-SDI channels
Enable simultaneous transmission of two high-definition video streams (HD or 3G-SDI). Each channel is independent, guaranteeing redundancy in the event of failure of one of them.
Borehole technology
The central axis of the system remains free for other uses, such as transmitting fluids, Radar RF waveguides or integrating a FORJ (Fiber Optic Rotary Joint). This eliminates the usual trade-offs between video transmission and other functional requirements.
High-frequency, high-fidelity transmission
With no contact and therefore no friction, the system offers high-bandwidth transmission that is stable even at high rotation speeds.
Maintenance-free
No wearing parts, no greasing, no component replacement. The solution is ideal for platforms that are difficult to access or subject to severe operational constraints.

MTBF > 300 000 h (Calculated at 20°C with FIDES reliability standard.)
Strategic application
The Contactless Video solution is designed for a wide range of critical applications:
- Light and heavy armored vehicles: 360° surveillance, targeting systems, real-time threat management.
- Drones and aircraft: stable HD transmission even in electromagnetically disturbed environments.
- Naval and coastal surveillance systems: Gyro- stabilized cameras, continuously rotating EO/IR sensors.
- Industrial and oil infrastructures: where the cohabitation of video transmission and fluids is often unavoidable.
Why choose Everaxis?
Everaxis combines over 70 years’ expertise in electromechanical components with a constant drive for innovation. Our contactless solutions integrate easily into existing architectures and are designed to meet the most demanding standards in the defene, aerospace and energy sectors.
By introducing the two-channel contactless video source, we are offering our customers a technological breakthrough: the possibility of transmitting HD video in continuous rotation, without compromising on quality, security or longevity.
