Coaxial Rotary Joint
EVERAXIS single and multi channel Rotary Joints are designed to work in rotating 50 Ohm systems, where uninterrupted and low loss signal transfer is required. Coaxial Rotary Joints are compact and lightweight compared to Waveguide Rotary Joints.
What is a Coaxial Rotary Joint?
Coaxial Rotary Joints are mainly used for the transfer of power and signal between the rotary and stationary part of the radar or Satcom where there are 50 Ohm requirements.
Coaxial Rotary Joints come in these configurations depending on customer needs:
- Contacting for broad band width.
- Contactless for long life
- Single channel for broad band width and low loss application
- Hollow shaft 20-25% band width and stackable allowing for multi channel Coaxial Rotary Joints
Coaxial Rotary Joint applications
Coaxial Rotary Joints are used for the rotary transmission of power and signal between the stationary and rotating parts of a radar, satcom and electronic warfare (EW) system.
2- and 3- channel Coaxial Rotary Joints are commonly used in ATC/ secondary surveillance radars (SSR) and identify friend or foe (IFF) systems. Coaxial Rotary Joints can be used alone or integrated into ATC waveguide rotary joints.
